when I grow up

There’s a question you’re suppose to answer in the first couple decades of life. I, however, am in the remedial class of living, still asking, “what do I want to be when I grow up?” And here I am, facing my seventh decade of life.

Unlike most people, aging has always been a grand adventure for me – a new crisis, not always manufacture by me, enlivens every decade. However, the last half decade has taken a big toll, slowed me down, physically, mentally, spiritually, such that the path forward is shrouded in haze.

Lest I depress anybody, or relive and share memories that are best forgotten, I do have a mini adventure planned – a six hour plane trip back north, to my roots, the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan, sunsets, strolls…..

I’ll catch you on the other side.
