liberty

I sure hope none of you were raised in oppressive religious christianity like I was. If you were, may this contribute to your liberation, as it did for me. I share this morning’s reading from Oswald Chambers.

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free.” Galatians 5:1

“Jesus said, ‘Go and make disciples,’ not ‘make converts to your opinions.’” We should not be battered with what to believe, but to aim for the standards of Jesus.

Our yoke is the standard of Jesus, no other yoke whatsoever. And, we are to be careful to never place a yoke on others, only Jesus has that authority.

Our liberty is “Jesus at work in our conscience enabling us to do what is right.” God deals with us gently, patiently, in love, and we must do so towards others.

May more people find freedom from religiosity and may you experience extra peace as you go about your day today.

[I started this particular blog, hoping for motivation to get back into more serious writing. I never intended to blog this much, nor, I suspect, will I keep up this pace. Nevertheless, thank you for joining my journey and may you find encouragement and hope for the path you are traveling.]
