I’ve always believed God has a sense of humor. However, it takes me a while to process and see His vision.
As a professor, preparing future counselors, one of my classes focused on disabilities.
And one of the assignments was to emulate a disability. Now, if I had any foresight, I would have done the assignment myself, getting a glimpse of my future, facing vision loss.
It’s very surprising how my life is affected. Actually, it’s rather shocking. However, God is good and the loss is gradual, with still a slim hope I can retain decent vision in my “good” eye.
I’ve taken a hiatus from much of life, but now, I think I will be back sharing my journey.
Never take your vision, or any of your functioning senses and body movement ability for granted. Practice gratefulness. And now, perhaps I will take my own admonition.
