– not the library Dewey Decimal system, organizing library books
– not Dewey, brother of Huey and Louie Duck
– not Mr. Dewey, the math teacher on Saved by the Bell.
I’m talking about:
– dewy air, the combination of high dew point and high temperature, leading to not only sweatiness, but also difficulty breathing. It’s harder for your body to cool off.
Living in the southwest, I have learned that the dew point number is more important than the humidity percentage. Dew point being, “the temperature at which air becomes saturated with water vapor and can no longer hold water in a gaseous form.”

All I can say is, “Don’t believe the rhetoric of low humidity in Arizona mollifying the high temperatures, especially for 3-4 months during monsoon season.”
