Yes, I am running behind & now I see yet again, wordpress has changed everything. I am so tired of AI not being able to predict what I am trying to do.
So, I guess this is turning into a little rant, as it took me multiple days to be able to share a little video I made for one of my granddaughters… It is either apple fighting with google or the blasted, inferno of the ai world to which I say, “please, just leave me alone, I like my humanness.”
OK, deep breaths….
This started because of the January quote in my January calendar, from Mark Twain, whom I adore. “The secret of getting ahead is getting started.“
& some more of Samuel Clemens pearls of wisdom. May you enjoy, smile a little; think a little:
– [for all you authors and would-be authors] “Substitute ‘damn’ every time you’re inclined to write ‘very;’ your editor will delete it and the writing will be just as it should be.”
– [expressing my apolitical sentiments] “God created war so that Americans would learn geography.”
– [for all the so-called intellectually gifted out there] “I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. I said I didn’t know.”
– [something good to ponder] “Never allow someone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.”
– [for people in my age bracket] “Wrinkles should merely indicate where the smiles have been.”
– [for those of us who fought for and gained advances for women] “What would men be without women? Scarce, sir…mighty scarce.”
– [for those of you who have a beef with someone] “I did not attend his funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying I approved of it.”
– [for those of us who have been lied about] “A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
– [for those of us who dance to a different drum beat] “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to reform (or pause and reflect).”
– [for those of us who still love to read and hold a book] “In a good bookroom you feel in some mysterious way that you are absorbing the wisdom contained in all the books through your skin, without even opening them.”
And now, I find my most favorite source for copyright-free images has greatly reduced the number available, while the monthly fee… well, let’s just say, isn’t in my current budget.

One last quote, especially for me today as I face the insanity of an ever increasing robotic world. “Sanity and happiness are an impossible combination” (Mark Twain)
