I ran across the phrase, “Live the Future.” This made me pause, take a few breaths, and think, “Yes, I need to get out of remembering the past.”
For, on a different blog, I have been writing about the past five years of my life, years that have seen me careen through many unanticipated and difficult circumstances; sharing my personal, professional and spiritual insights
On the same day, another of my plants, which I assumed was dead, sprouted new leaves (as I have shared before). This was the confirmation and the motivation I needed. Just like the phoenix rising from the ashes, out of disappointment and past failures, something new arises.

And so, as the beautiful southwest weather arrives, I am spending time on my patio, watching my plants grow, along with the humming birds who come to visit, secure in the knowledge more beauty awaits me in the future.
This weekend, may you also take some time out to stop, take some deep breaths, know that you are not alone on this journey we call life as we encourage each other.
